SEE VOLUNTEERS! WE NEED YOU! As most of you know CACEA has taught the SEE class for many, many, MANY years. I’m sure most of you realize that the SEE class is one of our chapter’s primary money earning activities. Funds earned from the SEE class have historically allowed the chapter to offer the Annual Membership Appreciation Seminar for FREE and keep our monthly meeting fees down. Without the funds earned from the SEE class our Annual Seminar might easily cost $150 per person. The extra funds are just part of the SEE class benefit. The SEE class helps CACEA attract and train new Enrolled Agents, and new members. It makes our chapter standout at both an State and National level. Janet Hemmerle has bravely taken on the task of organizing the SEE Class this year. In response to the change in the test format, Janet was re-organized the class format. Part I - Individuals: Saturday, 08/04/07, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm Saturday, 08/11/07, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm Basis: Saturday, 08/11/07, 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm Part II - Businesses: Saturday, 09/08/07, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm Saturday, 09/15/07, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm Part III – Representation, Practices & Procedures: Saturday, 10/06/07, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm Saturday, 10/13/07, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm As usual we need teachers: at least two teachers for each section. Teaching is a grEAt learning experience! It encourages us to review material that we don’t use everyday. And co-teaching or team-teaching is much less stressful than teaching individually. However, teaching does take preparation time. Fortunately, the IRS recognizes this fact in a real and tangible manner. For every 1 hour of teaching, or co-teaching, you are entitled to claimed 2 hours of CPE CACEA needs to expand our teacher pool . . . so come co-teach with a mentor or two, earn CPE, and have FUN! Unlike the majority of our clients, the SEE students actually want to learn about taxes!!! Please contact Janet Hemmerle at taxxlady@juno.com as soon as possible.
